NaijaBites
From smoky party jollof to sizzling suya off the grill, NaijaBites brings the heart of Nigerian cooking to your table — bold spices, generous portions, and the warmth of home, right in the heart of Abuja.
Our Story
NaijaBites began in 2016 in a modest kitchen in Surulere, Lagos, where founder Chef Adaeze Okonkwo started recreating the recipes her grandmother, Mama Nkechi, had cooked for over forty years. What began as weekend jollof deliveries for neighbours soon grew into NaijaBites Restaurant & Grill — our flagship home in Wuse II, Abuja.
Every plate that leaves our kitchen still runs on the same principle Mama Nkechi taught us: real ingredients, honest technique, and food made to be shared.

Guest Reviews
“The jollof rice tastes exactly like my aunty's — smoky, spicy, perfect. NaijaBites is now our Sunday spot.”
“Flew in from Lagos and still say this egusi soup rivals anything back home. The pounded yam was perfectly soft too.”
“Booked here for my birthday dinner and the small chops platter did not survive five minutes. Warm service, beautiful space.”
“Suya platter is smoky perfection. Would love a bit more seating on weekends, but honestly worth the wait.”
“Their zobo is the best I've had outside my grandmother's kitchen. I asked for the recipe — they wouldn't budge!”
“Our engagement dinner was unforgettable. The mixed grill platter fed the whole table and then some.”
